How much does it cost?

Our prices start from just €40 and the 85% of properties we clean cost only between €40 - €55 to complete (outside windows + frames, lower window cills and both doors). We use a very fair pricing method, We charge based on the length of time it takes to clean your property. For example, A house with bigger windows that are fairly clean, could end up costing less then a house with smaller windows but has more dirt which will take longer to clean. The first clean is often the most expensive as it often takes longer but any clean there after is typically 25 - 30% less. We would highly recommend asking about a regular cleaning as it can be very cost effective complementing our pricing method

Are your cleaning methods safe for my plants and pets?

Yes, we use just two types of cleaning solutions to clean your windows, purified water and fairy washing-up liquid

The easiest way to book is by texting or messaging us on WhatsApp. Text your Eircode followed by 'outside windows only' or 'both inside and out' then I will get back to you ASAP with a estimate and the next available time. How much for inside windows?

Our pricing structure is tailored exactly to your property as we charge by the minute. We use traditional mop and squeegee methods for interior work which is slower then the water-fed pole method used for the outside, this means inside cleaning typically cost 25% - 30% more then outside cleaning. If it is just fingerprints and blemishes you need removed, We recommend picking up a pack of microfiber towels:

 

1. Remove any items on the inside in front of the glass
2. For heavy stains, soak and rinse a microfiber cloth (or a J-Cloth) in normal tap water (no detergents needed) and scrub to remove any heavy stains first. If they still don't come out, use the rough side of a yellow and green scrubbing pad making sure to use plenty of soapy water (soapy water for when using the scrubbing pad)
3. After you are satisfied the marks have been removed, dry thoroughly any excess water with a towel ensuring that the surface is as dry as you can get it
4. In a circular motion, polish the glass with a very clean and dry microfiber cloth ensuring to be continuously changing the contact point for a new piece of cloth, any smearing means there is moisture or dirt in the cloth so change it for a dry clean one
5. We recommend touching up the inside glass with a microfiber towel 2 to 3 times per year to keep them looking spick and span

 

Do you clean Skylights?

Yes we do! In order to clean them thoroughly they need to be cleaned from the inside by opening and flipping them around. Often times they are left untouched for months and even years making the cleaning process much more difficult. If you would like to have yours done please mention it in the inquiry as depending on the complexity of the cleaning, each skylight could add a extra 10 to 30 euro

Who are you?

Michael Hayes is my name, I am originally from County Clare and I was born and raised on a farm so working outside is nothing strange to me! I am based in Barna and I absolutely love cleaning, especially glass. After building up a loyal customer base over 2 years I finally made the move to Galway and I could not be happier here :D

 

Why should I choose you over another cleaner?

I can not emphasise enough the amount of caution I take when I clean. 99% of my work is done from the ground thanks to the telescopic water fed pole system. I go out of my way to make sure every job is done in the quickest and safest manner for both myself and the safety of your property even if it means taking slightly longer to complete a job 

 

It's raining, Is there any point of cleaning my windows?

Rain itself is actually quiet clean and very often it helps as everything that is wet is much easier to clean. Over the space of a few months, a fine layer of grime builds up on the glass causing the dust to stick. When a rain droplet dries, it collects the dust into the shape of the drop thus giving the impression that dirt comes from rain. To keep glass clean, all you need to do is remove the layer of grime the rain can't by simply scrubbing or brushing it. This is why the telescopic brush and purified water method is so effective

 

How often should I get my windows cleaned and what is the secret to crystal clean windows all year round?

We recommend getting the outsides done every 4 or 6 months and the inside done every 12 months. The secret to having crystal clear windows all year round is to keep the sticky layer of grime off the outside panes (this is what keeps dirt stuck to the outside). A few dry days after getting them cleaned there could be a fine layer of dust back on them again but because you have the layer of grime removed, the dust will simply be washed off with the next shower of rain and for fingerprints on the inside, just polish them with a clean microfiber towel 

 

What other work do you do?

If you have white paint that you find difficult to keep clean, I recommend a cleaning solution called acti-wash which can be found in most hardware stores and is very in-expensive. This cleaning solution acts like a sanitiser keeping the treated surface clean and free from bacteria (algae). If you have flaking paint it is because paint was applied over algae which has now caused it to bubble up (like rust under paint). The easiest way to fix this problem is to first remove the flaking paint as much as you can with a paint scraper, then lightly pressure wash the rest of the small flakes to remove them. Apply the actiwash to the area (or the full wall) and leave for about 2 weeks. Then re-paint the surface and you will not have flaking paint anymore.
